Refund Policy

DRAFT — pending legal review

Effective Date: July 20, 2026

This Refund Policy explains how refunds work for paid subscriptions and purchases made through Peli, our mobile app for iOS and Android, and our website at psyche.you (together, the "Services"), operated by PSYCHE PROJECT PBC ("Psyche," "we," "us," or "our"). It should be read alongside our Terms of Service.

This policy covers how refunds are handled and where to request them. It does not set prices or the specific terms of any subscription. Those are presented to you at the time of purchase.

What This Covers

The free tier has no charge, so there is nothing to refund on it. If a free trial converts to a paid subscription, the withdrawal and refund terms in this policy, and the store routing described above, apply from the first paid charge onward. Genuine duplicate or accidental charges are refunded when you contact us. Please note that initiating a chargeback with your bank or card provider instead of contacting us may result in your account being suspended pending resolution.

1. Where Your Purchase Was Made

Where you go for a refund depends on where you bought your subscription.

If you are unsure where you purchased, check the receipt in your email or in your app store account.

2. Refunds for App Store and Google Play Purchases

Purchases made inside our mobile apps are in-app purchases. Under the rules of the App Store and Google Play, the store processes the payment and owns the refund. To request a refund for one of these purchases, use the store directly:

We are happy to point you in the right direction, but the store makes the final call on store-mediated refunds. If the store is unable to process a refund you are legally entitled to under this section, contact us at support@psyche.you and we will make it right.

3. Refunds for Purchases Made on Our Website

For subscriptions purchased directly through our Website, email us at support@psyche.you with your account email and a short note about your request. We review each request individually and aim to respond within 1-2 business days.

Nothing in this policy limits any refund or cancellation right you have under the mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country. If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, please also read Section 4 below.

4. EU and UK Right of Withdrawal (14-Day Cooling-Off Period)

If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have a legal right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days, without giving a reason. This comes from the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) and, in the United Kingdom, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

4.1 The 14-Day Period

The cooling-off period is 14 days. For a subscription, it starts on the day the contract is concluded (the day your purchase is confirmed). Within this period you may withdraw from the contract, and we will refund the payments we received from you.

4.2 How to Withdraw

To withdraw, tell us clearly that you have decided to cancel. You can email us at support@psyche.you with your account email and a short statement that you are exercising your right of withdrawal. A clear statement is enough. You do not need to use a specific form.

If your purchase was made through the Apple App Store or Google Play, the store handles the refund. Follow the store's process in Section 2, which is how you exercise these rights for a store-mediated purchase.

4.3 Refunds for Timely Withdrawal

If you withdraw within the 14-day period and have not lost the right under Section 4.4 below, we will refund the amount you paid without undue delay, and in any event within 14 days of being informed of your decision, using the same means of payment you used, unless you agree otherwise. Where the store processed the payment, the refund is issued through the store.

4.4 Digital Content and Loss of the Withdrawal Right

Psyche is digital content that is supplied immediately, not on a physical medium. When you buy a subscription and start using the paid features, you are asking us to begin performance right away, during the 14-day period.

By purchasing and beginning to access the paid features, you:

In plain terms: once you start using the paid features, you have consented to immediate access and can no longer withdraw for a refund under the 14-day right. If you have not yet begun accessing the paid features, your 14-day withdrawal right still applies. This does not affect any refund we may choose to offer, or any other consumer right you have under applicable law.

[Counsel + founder: confirm checkout captures express consent + sends a durable-medium confirmation; and add US auto-renewal disclosures for any direct-web subscriptions.]

5. Cancelling a Subscription

You can cancel a subscription at any time so that it does not renew. Cancelling stops future charges. It does not, on its own, refund a charge already made, which is handled under the sections above.

When you cancel, you keep access to paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for, unless a refund is issued.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page with a new effective date, and for material changes we will notify registered users by email. Your continued use of paid features after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. Your statutory rights are unaffected regardless of which version of this policy is in effect.
