Accessibility Statement

PSYCHE PROJECT PBC ("Psyche," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to making our services usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. This statement covers Peli, our mobile app for iOS and Android, and our website at psyche.you (together, the "Services"). It describes where we stand today, what accessibility features we support, and the limitations we are still working on.

Scope

This statement covers the website at psyche.you and the Peli iOS and Android apps. It reflects a self-assessment as of the effective date stated above. Our frozen internal screening app is not part of the Psyche product experience and, to the extent it is not reachable by users, is out of scope; if it is user-reachable in any form, it is likewise out of scope of this statement.

1. Our Commitment

We want everyone to be able to take assessments, read their results, and move through the Services comfortably, whatever device or assistive technology they use. Accessibility is part of how we build, not an afterthought, and we treat it as an ongoing effort rather than a one-time checkbox.

2. Conformance Status

The Services are partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the standard. We design and build toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA and measure ourselves against it as an aspiration; the known gaps are listed in Section 4.

We also work toward the harmonized European standard EN 301 549, which is the technical standard referenced by the European Accessibility Act (EAA).

This statement is based on a self-assessment. No formal third-party accessibility audit has been completed yet.

3. Accessibility Features

The Services include the following accessibility features:

Reduced motion is honored: When you turn on the reduce-motion setting on your device or browser, our motion tokens respect it and scale back or remove animations throughout the core experience.
Screen reader support: The Peli app supports VoiceOver on iOS and TalkBack on Android, with labels and roles on interactive elements so screen reader users can navigate and understand the interface.
Accessible confirmation for destructive actions: For irreversible actions such as deleting your account, we use a typed-confirmation pattern, where you type DELETE to confirm. We chose this deliberately for accessibility, because it does not rely on precise gestures, timing, or drag interactions that can be hard for some users.

4. Known Limitations

We want to be honest about where we fall short today. We are actively working on the following:

Native font scaling is clamped: In the Peli app, text scaling from the operating system is currently capped at a 1.3x multiplier (maxFontSizeMultiplier=1.3). Users who set very large system font sizes will not see text grow beyond this cap in the apps, which can make the largest system settings less effective than intended. This is a known limitation against WCAG 2.1 Success Criterion 1.4.4 (Resize Text), which expects text to be resizable up to 200% without loss of content or function. Raising the 1.3x cap is on our roadmap.
No skip-to-content link on the web yet: The website does not yet include a "skip to content" link that lets keyboard and screen reader users jump past repeated navigation to the main content. This is planned.

We will update this statement as we resolve these items.

5. Feedback and Contact

If you run into an accessibility barrier, or if something in the Services is hard to use with your assistive technology, we want to hear about it. Your reports directly help us prioritize fixes.

Enforcement Procedure

If you contact us about an accessibility barrier and are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate the matter to the competent accessibility enforcement authority in your country or European Union member state.

6. Changes to This Statement

We may update this Accessibility Statement as the Services change and as we close the gaps above. We will post the updated statement on this page with a new effective date.
